Our wines are all handcrafted in small productions on the outskirts of Calistoga. We started out in 2007 with a delicious Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc and three luscious, layered reds, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Bee Bee's Blend, and have grown our programs steadily. We are now pleased to announce that we have added two additional Petite Sirahs to our family, the Nord Vineyard and the Vaca Mountian.

Envy Wines is also the home of Vine Haven which is Nils’ own label, as well as vineyard-designated Carter Cellars wines. Carter Cellars was the first collaboration that started in 1998 between Carter and Venge. Nils has had a fabulous career in the wine industry, creating classic, award-winning wines for three decades. In fact Robert Parker, Jr. gave Nil's Groth Vineyards and Winery 1985 Reserve Cabernet a perfect score of '100' establishing Nils as a fantastic and talented winemaker early in his career. He continues the tradition for Carter Cellars, as Wine Spectator Magazine has recently recognized this wine as one of the top 10 best up and coming Cabernets in California and top wines to buy as well.

A blend of 47% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petite Sirah. Blueberry, chocolate and sweet maple sugar on the nose. On the palate it's ripe cherry, blackberry, coffee and dark chocolate.  order wine - $48 club members - $39

The impressive, sexy 2007 Bee Bee’s Blend is a blackberry and black currant-filled fruit bomb displaying surprising definition and complexity in its notes of lead pencil shavings, pepper, incense, and subtle smoke. It is a classic Napa red with full-bodied power as well as a sense of elegance and purity. Not your typical SB. This beauty is really up to the task of following our previous releases. Again, lush tropical fruit layered on top of crisp green apple and mounds of mouthwatering honeysuckle on a creamy finish. Rich and complex with no end in sight. order wine - $23 club members - $19

Layers of spicy apple skin, vanilla bean and a dab of honey cream tempt the nose on this wine followed closely by pear and slices of ripe stonefruit. On the pallet, the entry is full of melon and finishes with an explosion of crisp apple acidity. Texturally smooth, this wine leaves your pallet clean and refreshed. It's reminiscent of getting caught in a warm summer downpour wearing nothing but your socks.

Our dark, velvety, Estate Merlot presents luscious red fruit compote, cocao nibs and a light toasty aroma off the nose. On the palate prepare to be pummeled with plum and chocolate covered black cherries followed by a rich toastiness. The dry finish lingers with hints of cherry cola and your last great kiss. Our finest Cabernet to date. Aromas of black currant with notes of cinnamon, anise and toasted walnuts.  On the palate dark chocolate, black cherry and plum.  Enjoy this Cabernet now through the next 10 years. order wine - $48 club members - $39

An opaque blue/black color is followed by an excruciatingly concentrated style that is more like a liqueur than a dry table wine. Aromas of white flowers, pepper, blue and black fruits, and spice emerge from this chewy, massive wine. - Robert Parker Sold Out

A big, flowery, jammy wine, it exhibits lots of blackberry and cassis fruit intermixed with notes of incense and flowers. It is a massive, huge, impressively endowed, very promising effort. - Robert Parker order wine - $45 club members - $36

The 2007 Petite Sirah Vaca Vineyard from the Chiles Valley in the eastern sector of Napa exhibits more licorice, blueberry, Chinese black tea, and pepper characteristics as well as terrific fruit, a concentrated style, and less noticeable tannins. This cuvee is slightly more evolved and front-end loaded than its siblings - Robert Parker club members only - $36
