Envy's 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Calistoga Estate is a terrific follow-up to the 2016. Dark, powerful and muscular, with intense depth, the 2017 captures the brooding power of "Up Valley" in the Napa Valley. Scorched earth, incense, tobacco, smoke, licorice and clovers power through to the huge, weighty finish. The 2017 is not a subtle wine, but it does offer a fabulous interplay of ripe fruit and structure. An incredible value for a Napa Valley Cabernet.
